The birds nest

Hey everyone Anushka here with a post! So you will never guess what we found on our balcony?! We found a pigeons egg! You see about 3 years ago we had some boxes we were going t throw a way be we soon forgot about so a pigeon  laid 2 eggs those boxes! It was  interesting watching them grow up into pigeons from an tiny egg.Now the pigeons we watched growing up last year  are back and are laying their own eggs!The mother pigeon unfortunately laid her eggs in one of our pots which is not good because the egg has no protection from the weather and predators.Then we came up we a great idea!(well my dad came up with it) We had some old boxes so what we did was we took the pot with the egg and put it into the box for shelter also to keep the egg safe from other birds who might want to harm the egg we put some pots around the now new nest to blend in. The mother bird did not come back for a few hours because she was scared, but she soon came back. I am really exited to see the birds hatch.It will take about 18 days before the egg to hatch and 3-4 weeks before they will be able to leave the nest and fly.I am sure it will be worth the wait, I can't wait to see the cute baby pigeons hatch.
