People Should Stop Eating At McDonald's (better version)

People Should Stop Eating At McDonald's

 

Imagine you are outside with your friends having a great night out, then suddenly your stomach starts to growl .What do you do? You choose to eat fast food. What is the most likely place to go to eat? “McDonald's.” McDonald's is also known as the golden gates and one of the largest fast food restaurants since April 15, 1955. The food is cheap, appeals to your taste buds and easily available. But is it good for you? Is it healthy? No, it is not good for your body and I can give you more than one reason why you should stop eating McDonald food.

 

One of the things that McDonald's uses to make nuggets and burgers is Pink Slime. It is actually a paste made up of all bones and meat parts that are unfit for humans. This is then ground up into a paste. In order to make it fit for humans to eat, this paste is then washed with a chemical called ammonium hydroxide which gives it a pink color. The famous food activist Jamie Oliver showed how this slime was made. He fought against McDonald's in UK and finally won his battle against McDonald. They had to stop using this pink slime in UK. In spite of everyone now knowing about Pink Slime, McDonald has not stopped using it in the rest of the world. This is why McDonald food should not be eaten.

Another reason why we should not eat McDonald food is the amount of chemicals that are used to preserve their food. These chemicals stop the food from going bad, so it can then be stored for a longer time. In a study that was conducted by a researcher, fries from McDonald were kept in a jar for two years. The fries looked the same at the end of two years!! There was no mold, or decay! This proves the amount of chemicals that were used in the fries. The fries contain potatoes, dextrose, sodium acid pyrophosphate, sodium acid and other chemicals that I find it difficult to remember. One can only think what this can do to our body! Do we really want to eat food that is artificial and full of chemicals? Can we not try to eat normal healthy food? Should we allow McDonald's to do this to our body?

 

Lastly let’s look at the calories in a McDonald meal. One CBO sandwich with grilled chicken burger, medium fries and regular McFlurry drink amounts to 1500 calories and 1510 mg of sodium. This proves that McDonald uses fat and salt to get us addicted to the food. Even with a grilled chicken burger and regular fries and drinks the calories are more than half of what we should eat in a day. Is it any wonder then why we have so many people around who are struggling with weight? This food is the leading cause of obesity, high blood pressure and heart disease. Therefore this food should be avoided at all costs.

 

Yes, the McDonald advertisements attract us and we believe that the juicy burger that we see on T.V is the one that we will get to eat. The truth is that the burger on T.V is created to look good on T.V while the burger we get in McDonald's is full of meat that is unfit for humans, filled with even more chemicals that will cause damage to our body and full of fat and salt that will lead to many diseases. So stop eating food that is not real and start eating more food that is cooked at home which is real food. If that is not possible then look for healthy options while eating out. Once we change our minds about what we eat, we will all be able to live a healthier and happier life.
